Volunteer

There are many ways to volunteer, and we’re happy to put your talents and passions to good use! You’ll meet amazing new people, have a lot of fun, and make a positive impact on our community. If you’re interested in volunteering for in-person activities, including events and office support, please complete the form linked below to be added to our volunteer email list.

If you’re interested in joining one of our committees below, email rosa@preservationaustin.org.

HOMES TOUR

We rely on up to 150 volunteers to serve as house captains, docents, and ticket-takers during our annual Homes Tour. This event celebrates different neighborhoods and architectural eras, and is one of our most powerful educational programs and fundraisers. Sign up for our email list to receive volunteer notices each spring.

Homes Tour Task Force: Plans and implements this educational event and fundraiser. This includes fundraising, volunteer coordination, community outreach, and logistics assistance.

OFFICE AIDES

Our small staff is grateful for any help with filing, archiving, data entry, preservation research, and mailings in our office. Students are welcome!

This position is currently paused as renovation continues at our office. Please stay tuned!
